Overview

This session discusses the transportation and land use connection with a focus on the use of models to assess the potential role of travel efficiency strategies to reduce on road emissions and inform county level zoning and regulatory changes and local funding decisions.  It also illustrate a specific platform that can be used as a means to build sustainable and collaborative shared data repositories and model systems and the implementation of travel demand management (TDM) strategies tailored to unique land use and transportation contexts.
