This session will explain the role of emergency management process in NYS. Topics addressed include, but are not limited to: the importance of positive relationship with a local emergency manager; the need for effective communication, collaboration, and decision making during a crisis; continuity of government operations; and New York State’s new “Lean Forward” approach to emergency management in support of local government.
