This panel discussion shall address how to maximize planning efficiency when faced with land constraints generated by explosives safety, quantity distance (ESQD) arcs on Department of Defense (DoD) or other federal installations. Basics of explosives safety impact on installation planning shall be discussed, as well as solutions where land availability is at a premium, protective construction in particular. The general process, common mistakes, and actions to ensure planning efficiency will be presented for such projects requiring protective construction.
