Explore how the U.S. Army Engineering and Development Center (ERDC), U.S. Army Engineering Research Laboratory (CERL), and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) integrated the Comprehensive Asset Master Planning Solution (CAMPS) and the System Master Planning (SMPL) tool in order to streamline resource intensive processes and improve user satisfaction and understanding of energy planning. As the largest single tenant in the country, the Department of Defense (DoD) spends billions of dollars on energy and its tasked by several sustainability initiatives and energy directives to reduce energy cost. Because planning systems and processes are often silo’ed, learn how this unified tool enables visualization of energy flows, detects facilities that indicate excessive energy use compare to benchmarks, automates identification of facility-level Energy Efficiency Measures (EEMs), and generates opportunities for district-level solutions.
