Overview

Local governments rely on data, and Geographic Information

Systems (GIS) is a tool that the public sector is using to

transform how information is organized, communities

are planned, and ordinances developed. This session will

demonstrate how the powerful combination of GIS, AutoCAD,

and laser scanning can enhance decision-making for planning,

zoning, CIP planning, and historic preservation. See real-world

applications and examples that illustrate the use of these

technologies for surveys and the development of form-based

codes.
