Overview

Access to healthy food is a critical component to building sustainable food systems, thriving communities and strong economies, but across the country, millions of families experience the hardship and consequences of inequitable access to healthy food. In this session, Julia Koprak of The Food Trust will present on various approaches that the public and private sector have taken to prioritize and plan for a community environment that makes the healthy choice the easy choice. She will also present a local assessment of food access in El Paso County and Ciudad Juarez.
