While every community wants beautiful streets, the goal of corridor plans is rarely just about beautification. Many suburban corridors are badly in need of transformation of land use, tenants, and building form, as well as greater economic productivity. Learn about the interrelationship between place, markets, and economics in understanding redevelopment potential and encouraging change over time. Key takeaways from this session include: * Understanding land development considerations as they would be viewed by a quality developer * Understanding market opportunities and constraints and how understanding those can right-size an effort * The importance of physical considerations within the right-of-way * The perspective of a municipal planner in the implementation of a land development strategy, writing RFPs, evaluating developers, and working on implementation steps.
