Overview

Community members and advocates seeking to influence transportation professionals often find that they are speaking two different languages. This is especially difficult for rural communities who find it difficult to bring on staff and/or consultants to close this gap. Fortunately, there are a growing number of online resources that close the gap between practitioners and stakeholders. This session will focus on a few of the most useful, including the Small Town and Rural Multimodal Guide, the NACTO Urban Street Design Guide, and the Citizens Guide to Better Streets.
