Overview

 

In 2014, the Kansas City region was named a Climate Action Champion by the Federal Government and began developing the regions climate resiliency strategy.  Tom will discuss the Mid-America Regional Council's recently completed efforts to assess the region’s climate change trends and explore the next steps to catalyzing a climate resilient Kansas City.  These next steps include addressing heat island effects, the region’s green infrastructure, and regional water quality efforts.
