It has been nearly eight months since dockless mobility vehicles (electric scooters) have hit the streets in Denver and nearly two years since they dropped in North America. This transportation trend is disrupting systems all over the world in ways not seen since the invention of the automobile. In June of 2018, 200 scooters appeared out of thin air, and the debate began. Love ‘em or hate ‘em, this micromobility trend may be here to stay! Learning Objectives:

1. History of dockless mobility in USA.

2. Preliminary results of Denver’s Pilot Program.

3. How to use data to tell a story.
