Overview

This session will discuss how to move communities to invest in trees wisely. Information on the basics: picking the best trees, how to convert bad sites to good sites, young tree structure, if larger planting stock is better, and simple planting steps to avoid sidewalk damage. Benefits vs costs of increasing survival of older and larger trees , and approaches and tools to deliver messages to elected officials will be reviewed.
