Friday, November 13, 2015, 4:30 p.m. CST
Sandestin , FL, United States
The purpose of the Transportation Symposium is to provide a forum for leadership in transportation. The symposium will bring together professionals and policy-makers to openly discuss ways in which we can adapt our transportation system to 21st century economic and environmental realities. Breakout sessions will have a blend of local governmental planning practitioners, academics, industry professionals, and business leaders. Sessions include a “generations” panel to discuss how changes in the demographics of the population affect planning, a “green acceleration” panel to explore alternative fuels sources, “emerging innovations” which will discuss how utilizing technology is improving our planning process, “trade and logistical implementation” will follow the supply chain for goods, “funding and political cooperation,” “economic stimulation,” “trains and aviation” and a panel of local success stories for inspiration.
The Symposium is organized by a Regional Metropolitan Planning Organization. The APA- FL Emerald Coast is a sponsor of the event to benefit APA members. There are also several other sponsors.
There are keynote addresses and breakout sessions with a moderator. I have bios for all qualified speakers (60+) and can provide this information to qualify the event for AICP CMs.
