The 2017 annual conference for the American Planning Association - Oklahoma Chapter (APAOK17) is in Claremore, OK from October 8-10, 2017.

Come join us in Green Country as we explore current planning issues and trends while we engage in exciting events and activities, such as sessions led by experienced leaders in the planning field, special receptions, and active morning events.

The APAOK17 theme is "Planning in a Connected World."  Sessions will cover a wide spectrum of planning issues with a focus on creating connections: connecting with others by communication, physical connectivity via transportation, and connecting to the natural and building environments through preservation and placemaking. Keynote speakers will include Tulsa Mayor G.T. Bynum, who is expected to speak on bringing people together by focusing on aspirations that unite us through innovation and by focusing on results – sparking creative problem-solving and breaking down old silos of government, and Daniel Hintz, Principal and CEO of Velocity Group, who will introduce the “DNA of Place.”

APAOK17 will include approximately 12 sessions and durations will be 1.25-1.5 hours.

CANCELLATIONS AND CHANGES

All registration cancellations and changes must be received by e-mail to registrationchanges@planning.org by October 3, 2017 to be eligible for a refund. There is a $25 processing fee for any cancellation and a $25 change order processing fee.
