Overview

The ABA Section of State and Local Government Law is the premier association for lawyers involved in urban, state, and local government law and policy. Our membership includes lawyers in private practice who represent countless government agencies across the country, in academia, and in the judiciary, as well as government lawyers who turn to the ABA Section of State and Local Government Law to access the latest expert information on issues that relate to their practice and to share ideas and best practices with colleagues.  The Section holds a fall conference that changes location each year.  This year, the conference will be held in San Antonio and include the following topics:

-Land Use and Resiliency: Creating Resilient Communities Through Land Use Law - Before the Next Disaster

-Litigate the Vote: What it means for Texas and America

-To Share or Not to Share - The Battle Over Regulating the Sharing Economy

-FHA Claims after Inclusive Communities

-Anatomy of a #MeToo Investigation
