Overview

This training is designed to address the needs of coastal decision makers in dealing with the issue of bacterial contamination in South Carolina waterways and is in direct response to the demand expressed by many coastal decision makers. Participants will be introduced to stormwater best management practices (BMPs) that are available to deal with bacterial contamination. The speakers will provide local context for the issue, research data showing what techniques decrease fecal coliform levels, and questions to consider to guide BMP selection.
