Dr. Anthony Catanese, FAICP, and President of the Florida Institute of Technology spoke to the Atlantic Coast Section of APA FL. Dr. Catanese spoke about numerous subjects related to the planning profession. Specifically, he discussed in detail his recent travels to Abu Dubai and compared and contrasted planning efforts in Abu Dubai to those in Florida. Dr. Catanese also spoke about his recent experience as a member of the Accreditation Team evaluating Harvard's Urban Planning program and his views on the status of urban planning education in the United States. Dr. Catanese also spoke about recent changes to growth management in the state of Florida and provided a history lesson on the origins of growth management in Florida. His presentation concluded with a question and answer session from the audience.
