Join us on April 30, 2015 as we showcase environmentally sustainable practices for business owners and community leaders in Southwest Florida. Attendees will be able to attend special presentations and panel discussions, learn why sustainability is important to business and discover how to incorporate easy practices to save money. The 2015 SWFL Sustainability Summit will feature some of the best from thought leaders, educators, and experts in sustainability, economic development, and education. Business & regional community leaders will learn how to implement and utilize the most current and effective sustainability methods. This event is open to the public. Proceeds from funds raised from ticket sales, vendor registrations, and sponsorships will be donated to the Imaginarium Science Center in downtown Fort Myers to support science and technology education for youth. This event is non-promotional. Participants will gain valuable technical knowledge shared by environmental and sustainability experts, land use planners, and other interested professionals. There will be formal presentations, public discussion, and opportunities for questions, answers, and dialogue. The educational objective will be appropriate for AICP members as they learn new developments in technology, the natural environment, and land use. The speakers will draw on professional experience in land use planning and other fields. The content will not be basic in nature, but will be an in depth discussion about critical matters to planners and other professionals.
