This event is designed to teach planners and local government engineers the various policies and procedures associated with the development of a federally funded transportation project that is to be administered via the Florida Department of Transportation’s Local Agency Program. The attendees will learn: • How to determine the appropriate environmental class of action for a project using the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) • What right of way requirements are applicable based on the Uniform Right of Way Acquisition Act • How to design projects to meet the Americans with Disabilities Act(ADA) • How does Title VI of the Civil Right Act relate to project development and planning for transportation projects, ADA , NEPA and consultant acquisition.
