Overview

The AICP Code warns us against conflicts of interest or even the appearance of conflicts of interest. In practical terms, what does that mean? What are the most common sources of conflicts? How can conflicts of interest be identified early and resolved? What are the typical pitfalls and how can they be avoided in our practice in the private and the public sector? Carol Barrett, FAICP, will lead a discussion on these questions and review appropriate sources of guidance relying on the AICP Code and local Codes of Ethics. This discussion will include interactive activities and role playing to ensure that the format is fast and fun.
