Downtown revitalization is an integral component of smart and sustainable development. Three experts will share information on the economic impact downtown revitalization has on Florida’s communities and the state and how to get the biggest bang for your buck.  Donovan Rypkema, principal of PlaceEconomics, a Washington, DC-based real estate and economic development consulting firm, will provide a national perspective on the economic impacts of redevelopment and share the results of his recently released economic analysis of revitalization efforts in Florida’s Main Street cities.Florida Redevelopment Association Executive Director Carol Westmoreland will discuss current trends in redevelopment and showcase recent Florida efforts.  Florida Main Street Coordinator Ronni Wood will share successful strategies being used to revitalize Florida’s historic commercial areas.
