Wetlands are a biological powerhouse – providing our communities and natural habitats with numerous functions and services.  Although wetlands comprise approximately 5% of the habitats on earth, they contain a diversity of species. Understanding the importance of wetlands and waters, state and federal agencies have formed general policies that promote and protect wetlands nationwide. 

This program will highlight wetland and waters regulations pursuant to the Clean Water Act, define how jurisdictional delineation is conducted, discuss recent court rulings/trends and offer strategies to comply with relevant state and federal regulations.  Specific topics/learning objectives will include:
