By 2030, one of every five Americans will be 65-plus (here in Broward County, it will be closer to one in four). How will cities, towns, and neighborhoods provide age-friendly housing, transportation, walkable streets, access to services, and opportunities to connect with community life? We will look at the reality versus perception of the "graying of America" and see what this portends for the future of our communities, businesses, and social fabric. While challenges lie ahead, there are also huge opportunities that are just beginning to be identified.
