Participate in a spirited discussion on how we can rebuild a sense of community by changing our vision

and our zoning codes to make walkable places possible again. Led by former Miami Mayor Manny Diaz

(author of Miami Transformed: Rebuilding America One Neighborhood, One City at a Time), Miramar

Mayor Wayne Messam, Fort Lauderdale City Commissioner Bruce Roberts and new urban developer

Tim Hernandez, learn about what is working and what is preventing the reestablishment of walkable

communities in South Florida. Decision makers will share with participants their experiences of dealing

with projects in their cities that will make mobiity a priority.
