Nearly half of Connecticut's towns have used an Incentive Housing Zone Program and other tools to plan, zone and develop affordable and mixed-income housing.

  • An increasing number of developers and homebuilders, from both in and out of state, are eager to build in multifamily housing in Connecticut to meet the mushrooming demand from millenials, downsizing seniors and working families.
  • Combined with historic public support for affordable housing and simultaneous investments in mass transit, the stars are aligned to bring more housing choices to more towns than ever before.

This program will offer an opportunity for towns and developers to connect, speed-dating style. In 2014, this program brought together over 50 towns with development professionals from across Connecticut, Massachusetts and New York.  This program will connects municipalities eager to develop more housing options in their towns and development professionals, including developers, lenders, attorneys, and consultants.

Planner will learn from State Officials about the public resources and support available to advance housing projects.
