Planners from every generation have different perspectives to contribute. From the historical viewpoint of APA Planner Emeritus Network (PEN) members, to the mile-a-minute technical innovations and insight younger generations have to offer. This inaugural joint collaboration between PEN and the Sacramento Valley Section will bring insight of what's changed in planning over the course of 30 years or more, to the challenges facing a new generation of planners. Whether it's politics, technology, water, transportation, climate change, infill, or mixed-use, this cross-generational roundtable panel will share stories and experiences that will address today and tomorrow's planning challenges. There will be plenty of time for audience questions and participation, including breakout group discussions.
