This session will highlight Comprehensive Planning in the State of Florida, and how the Community Planning Act (2011) has shaped Comprehensive Planning in municipalities across the State. Attendees will learn how demographics shaped the initial discussions for the Sarasota County Comprehensive Plan Update, how the team engaged the community to gather crucial input, and how that input shaped the plan and the Update’s current timeline and next steps. The session will include a short panel or Q&A with the Sarasota County Comprehensive Plan Update team.
