This program is CCAPA's annual review of legislative initiatives and issues from this year's session of the CT General Assembly, discussion of current "hot topics" of concern and a session on ethics, designed to fulfill the law and ethics requirements as well as meet the CM standards for training. The ethics session will explore issues planners face dealing with the public, commissions and elected officials and consider appropriate responses base on the AICP Code of Ethics.
Planners will also learn about environmental and other issues CT municipalities are now addressing in the face of climate adaptation. Planners will learn about the City of Hartford’s new Form-Based Code and how the capital city is addressing sustainability issues.
