Overview

Environmental Leadership Institute

California State University, San Marcos in Temecula

The Institute creates innovative solutions to environmental challenges and provides a forum for unbiased education, research and policy review.  The Institute was established based on the success of the Environmental Leadership Academy (ELA), a Certificate Program which has been in existence for five years and founded through the cooperation and guidance of Inland Empire environmental and community leaders to promote environmental leadership among business, government, non-profit and other organizations based on the unprecedented growth in Riverside and San Bernardino counties.  The Institute will focus on issues related to energy, water resources, waste management, land use planning, air quality and transportation; and will connect experts across the diverse fields of environmental sciences, policy, education and planning – all in an effort to provide independent and qualified analysis of some of the region’s most critical issues.
