Overview

This diversity lunch program featuring “Women in Planning: Bringing Communities Together” will bring together a diverse panel of different industry leaders to share their perspectives on the evolving role of women in the profession and discuss how planning can be improved to support inclusivity and equity in our communities.  The learning objectives for the lunch program include the following:

Biggest challenges one faces entering and advancing in a particular industry (i.e. local government, law, consulting, developer);

Changing priorities and values seen emerging in a particular industry and significance for women and gender;

Ability to have work/life balance;

Career advice for future leaders in our industries; and

How organizations like APA can contribute to the promotion of gender equality, to advancing the importance of planning.
