University of Florida Symposium on

"The Old Florida Heritage Highway"

 

This event will include presentations from AICP planners, landscape architect, FDOT engineer and wildlife expert on planning and managing a state designated scenic highway, including the needs as related to resource protection and infrastructure improvements.  A Master Plan process funded by the NSB grant will be described by the consultant landscape architect and local government program staff. The general goals and benefits of scenic byways will be discussed. The focus will include planning and maintaining wildlife culverts, multimodal road systems, community participation for scenic byway planning and volunteer engagement.
