Overview

The Kansas Department of Agriculture-Division of Water Resources and Amec Foster Wheeler will be holding a Stormwater Green Infrastructure Workshop in Manhattan, KS, on April 25th as part of the Upper Kansas Risk MAP project. The workshop/seminar is being hosted by the City of Manhattan Planning Department. The workshop will feature national stormwater expert Andy Reese (see bio below) from Amec Foster Wheeler’s Nashville, TN, office.

The morning of the workshop will feature discussion topics in approximate 45 minute segments covering:

 1.      What is Green Infrastructure (GI) and what is driving it?

2.      What are its advantages and disadvantages?

3.      What are others doing?

4.      How might we get started?

  The afternoon will feature community-specific discussion on mitigation actions.
