Florida voters passed Amendment 2 to legalize Medical Marijuana. While the State Legislature is still debating the details of regulation and distribution, South Florida cities are preparing for the expected demand for local dispensaries. Many cities enacted moratoriums in anticipation of this demand. Now new ordinances are being developed to regulate the location and operation of this land use. What are the different approaches being debated and how are communities reacting to the possibility of the "pot shop" next door?

BAPA is sponsoring this Lunch and Learn, bringing together planners from various south Florida cities, health and legal experts to discuss  this controversial issue.
