The Air Force is moving the Installation Development (IDP) to a digitized format to enable integrated planning processes, and support enterprise and installation planning actions. Linking the IDP Objectives with the Execution Objectives and Specific Enterprise Execution Direction ensures planning actions developed by the installation are aligned with the Strategic Master Plan. The digitized format of the IDP uses standardized IDP data and develops a planning process to steps through the identified areas of concern for Air Force Planning (constraints and capacity opportunities) to develop Installation Planning Actions. Each planning action is deliberately reviewed and developed in accordance with the IDP.

As we digitize the IDP, the Activity Management Plans (AMPs) are also being redeveloped and digitized.  This effort is purposely being done in conjunction with the IDP planning work.  Approved Installation Planning Actions will link to the associated AMPs and Component Plans to allow for the continuum of planning from requirement development through project funding via the Integrated Project List (IPL). This presentation will provide planners with an overview of the new tool and facilitate the transition in the natural evolution of leveraging technology for installation planning.
