The Tampa Bay Transportation Applications Group meeting is FREE and will be held for three (2) hours at the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), District 7 in Tampa, FL.  The May 18, 2017 meeting addresses integrating health and transportation planning.  This two-hour meeting includes presentations by several public and private agencies including the Florida Department of Transportation, Forward Pinellas, the Hillsborough MPO, the City of Largo, AARP, and AAA.   Presentations will include discussions on how state, regional and local governmental agencies and private companies are planning for a more mobile society with options for healthy living.  Specific projects and initiatives will be highlighted that have been funded by both health and transportation agencies. Agencies are coordinating on transportation projects to achieve similar goals of health and mobility by improving our transportation system for all ages.
