Reimagining VTA’s Transit Network

Bay Area Metro Center, 375 Beale Street, San Francisco CM | 1

10 AM – 11 AM, Bay Area Metro Center, Yerba Buena Room, 375 Beale Street, SAN FRANCISCO. Despite a growing economy and increasing population, transit ridership in Santa Clara County is declining—down 8.8 percent in 2016 and down over 10 percent in 2017. In order to reverse these trends, VTA worked with Jarrett Walker and Associates to redesign the transit network through a year-long, community-oriented process, the product of which is a reimagined transit network that employs a new philosophy on the purpose of public transit. This event is free and no registration is required. For question, contact Dave Vautin, AICP, at dvautin@mtc.ca.gov.
