ODOT’s Division of Planning is excited to introduce updates to the web-based application called the Transportation Information Mapping System (TIMS). TIMS provides transportation employees, transportation stakeholders and the general public a central access point for viewing, distributing, and analyzing Ohio’s transportation data through web mapping tools. The application is an “outside the box” thinking concept that includes such features as emailing, custom printing, bookmarking, photo imaging, and uploading files to name a few. This application allows the casual user who is not a GIS expert to produce high-quality maps quickly with access to numerous data sets.
This short training class will show attendees how to access the TIMS program, turn on various GIS layers, and render and communicate results/maps. Each session will be held in a computer training room to allow for hands-on use of the TIMS application.
