This two hour seminar will review the new laws enacted by the First Session of the 128th Maine Legislature (non-emergency laws effective approximately mid-October 2017), the implications of these new laws for Maine municipalities, and current legal issues for municipalities.  Topics typically include land use, environmental and energy, county government, and “Right-to-Know” law issues.  The seminar is designed for municipal employees and officials, attorneys and planning professionals.
