Providing transportation choices for people and freight is the newest goal area of the Florida Transportation Plan (FTP). This goal area emphasizes and elevates the importance of providing multiple, balanced, and integrated transportation solutions. Floridians expect to be able to rely on more transportation options, or choices, than ever before. Attendees at this session will hear about various choices for people (e.g., walk, bike, transit, golf cart, shared mobility) and for freight (e.g., ship, rail, truck, drone), and participate in identifying strategies to plan and implement solutions. The session will emphasize how to integrate choices for complete, end-to-end trips.
