When a federal agency determines their property is no longer needed for discharge of their responsibilities, such property may be excessed to another federal agency or disposed out of federal ownership. Both paths lead to specific historic preservation compliance responsibilities under Sections 110 and/or 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act. The ACHP’s Liaison to the General Services Administration, Kirsten Kulis, and Program Analyst Katharine Kerr will guide participants through the different means of disposal and help them develop a working knowledge of which historic preservation responsibilities apply. Learn how to avoid and resolve adverse effects and address other historic property management challenges.
