Overview

Led by Covington’s dynamic Mayor Cooper and Planning Director Bagby, this session will begin with a discussion of recent economic development initiatives aimed at attracting new business to the City’s downtown with a focus on community participation, transportation improvements, and maintaining the Historic District’s neighborhood character.   Anchoring the southernmost area of Downtown, the session will then explore century’s old, 13-acre, riverine, Bogue Falaya Park and recent  plans to enhance community use, space, water management, habitat preservation, and shoreline protection.

*Part 1 is lunch and a discussion.  Part 2 is the walking tour of Downtown. The two sessions are listed separately for CM.
