The Florida APA Suncoast Chapter Young Planners Group (YPG) will be rewinding the clock: Come take a step back in time, as you wander through the oak-lined brick roads and enchanting arcades of Historic Downtown Plant City District, a community with a rich railroad, strawberry, and agricultural history. This tour will be filled with unique facts about Plant City’s architecture, monuments, and stories about the early movers and shakers of this small, tenacious southern community. In addition to learning about the history, attendees will learn about the importance of historic preservation in a small Florida town.  You will also learn about the present and future of Plant City, through the lens of Plant City’s Main Street & the Plant City Midtown Redevelopment district.
