As cities embark on VMT adoption statewide, learn about different approaches some early-adopter jurisdictions have taken to support successful implementation of SB 743.  This forum will build on the one held last year, “Moving from LOS to VMT: Making SB743 an Asset in Your Community.” The first panel will present the stories of three cities that packaged VMT adoption with supportive policies aligned with sustainability, congestion management and investment goals.  In Panel 2, we’ll delve deeper into one of these policies: a VMT-based impact fee to raise revenue from development for your city’s transportation system. Come join an interactive forum of agency, consultant and legal perspectives about this impact fee approach, and how to tailor these opportunities in your jurisdiction.
