This workshop will provide professional planners, elected and appointed municipal leaders, and other public servants with the tools, applications and best practices to empower intentional actions that will help your community mitigate the impacts of severe weather events and fluctuating water levels in the Great Lakes through planning, policy, and regulatory solutions. Much of the content for this workshop was developed for MAP’s April 2018 Spring Institute | Resilience Summit. We have condensed that content into this 4-hour workshop that will be delivered at 3 convenient locations throughout the state. The program builds on MAP’s Master Planning for Resilience curriculum that was offered in 2015 and takes a deeper dive into data collection techniques and methodologies; implementation through plans, policies and programs, and provides substantial opportunity for active learning, response, and interaction.
