This session is exclusively for APA-NC Conference attendees, making up for a session canceled at the 2018 State Planning Conference due to Hurricane Florence. 

It’s time for the 2018 Legal Roundup for planning and zoning law issues in North Carolina. Adam Lovelady, an Associate Professor of Public Law and Government at the UNC School of Government, will lead this 1.5 hour webinar. He will discuss notable legislative changes such as the new requirement for reporting permitting fees to the state. He will summarize perennial issues such as plan consistency statements and sign regulation. And, he will outline some legal considerations for current hot topics such as storm recovery and the opioid crisis. With such a grab-bag of topics, there is something for everyone.
