The half day section of the 2019 Hot Topics in Land Use Law and Practice program is designed to fulfill both the law  requirements as well as meet the CM standards for training.

This years conference will include education for practicing planners on:  

  • CCAPA Chapter Meeting - Updates to the evolving Start with Planning Initiative in Connecticut
  • Affordable Housing Policy Initiatives: Looking Back/Looking Forward and methods to better understand how to apply affordable housing objectives to a diversity of communities in CT
  • Annual Legal Update for Land Use and Zoning - Review of new court cases in Connecticut and in the U.S. and how they apply to land use and zoning for CT planners.
  • Legislative Front: Issues and Topics from 2019 CT General Assembly - Review of legislation raised and adopted from the Legislative Planning and Development Committee.
