The 2019 Oregon Legislative session is over. Do you know what happened to land use related legislation? While middle housing provisions and a proposal for a cap and invest system to regulate and reduce greenhouse gas emissions got most of the press, a variety of other land use bills passed related to planning for housing and housing affordability, development readiness, and uses on EFU lands, among others. We’ve invited Erin Doyle from the League of Oregon Cities, Mike Eliason from the Association of Oregon Counties, and Palmer Mason from the Department of Land Conservation and Development to join Damian Syrnyk, OAPA’s Legislative and Policy Affairs Committee Chair, to talk about how the bills passed in the 2019 legislative session will impact planners and communities across the state.
