How do you implement brownfield redevelopment, transit-oriented design and resiliency planning? The easy answer is comprehensive planning. The long answer is implementing complex planning strategies to address a variety of planning issues with input from key stakeholders and experts throughout all phases of the planning process. The plan for Crescent Park redevelopment project incorporates a large-scale redevelopment including approximately 2,000 residential units, 50,000 square feet of retail space, extension of the existing street grid with complete street improvements, a CSO outfall extension with the option for a 5 million gallon CSO overflow tank, and a 3-acre, resilient park with a tidal marsh. This panel will discuss the project goals and implementation strategies of the Crescent Park redevelopment project and will discuss how the project team, worked with diverse stakeholders to develop a multifaceted, yet feasible plan for the project site.
