Planning Post Graduate School
Each of the three presenters came from the University of Nebraska, and they each entered their graduate program from different undergraduate educations. They have been practicing planners for over a decade and feel an open conversation about their experiences would benefit students, seasoned planners and elected officals.
They will cover an arry of topics including; why I choose planning, what I wish I would have known in school and what I learned in my first year after graduation. Next they will have a canid conversation on certification and the process to becoming accredited, and a frank excahnge about dealing with the burnout trifecta (i.e. professional, place, people). Finally, we will conclude with a discussion of what's next and how will we define ourselves in the future. A question & answer period will be available at the end of the conversation.
This discussion is timely for those within the planning community and within various levels of community government.
