MORE SESSION DETAILS

Does it seem like navigating "disruptors" and game-changers is more frequently becoming the norm in your planning work? With slow-moving or sudden occurrences such as droughts, disaster events, and major technology shifts increasingly common, planning realistically even 2-3 years out, much less 15-20 years out, is challenging. Planning professionals are asking themselves if there are ways to design resiliency and navigation of future unknowns intentionally into planning practices to increase effectiveness. Scenario planning is a method providing precisely that, and the Consortium for Scenario Planning is the hub of this activity for the planning profession. The Consortium focuses on three key initiative areas: 1) education and training, 2) state of practice improvements, and 3) peer exchange.
