Leon S. Eplan
Few planners better reflect the emergence of our profession in post-war America. For four decades he has been an innovator, an advocator and a visionary. His work as Commissioner of Planning in Atlanta helped shape that dynamic city. He was at the birth of several of our planning organizations: the Georgia Planning Association, the Planning Accreditation Board and the American Planning Association. And, as Director of Georgia Tech's Planning Program, he modernized and broadened that curriculum. Inducted in 2000.
